Create Topographic Maps Online

Topographic maps show terrain elevation through contour lines. ArchiKEK generates topographic maps using real elevation data from global sources.

Contour Map Features

Real elevation data comes from global DEM coverage at approximately 30m resolution. Customizable intervals allow 1m for flat terrain, 5m as default, or 10m+ for mountainous areas. Visual differentiation shows major contours as bold and labeled while minor contours appear light and unlabeled.

Choosing Contour Intervals

For flat coastal areas, use 1-2m intervals. Urban areas work well with 2-5m intervals. Rolling hills suit 5-10m intervals. Mountain terrain needs 10-20m intervals.

Common Use Cases

Site grading analysis benefits from detailed contours. Foundation planning requires understanding of elevation changes. Stormwater design uses topography for drainage planning. Flood risk assessment needs accurate elevation data.

How Contours are Generated

ArchiKEK queries elevation data for your selected area. The system processes the data into contour lines at your chosen interval. Lines are smoothed for clean appearance. Export includes contours as a separate layer.
